Bush 'Flat Wrong' on Kyoto

Yes, I have covered this once already, but I am particularly sensitive to this issue for some reason. How short sighted can the Bush administration be? Yeah, we shouldn't decrease our pollution because it might hurt the economy. What about hurting the environment and killing off the entire human population due to our gluttony? Yes, killing the entire human population is a bit extreme, but doing long term damage to the environment to improve our economy in the short term seems like a very short-sighted stance. Joe Public would take the short-sighted stance, but don't we hope that our politicians have a bit more educated and sane stance on the future? What a bloody joke. Oh, and the 3 billion in research to help improve the environment doesn't mean anything if you don't fund the right research. Or more accurately if you don't heed the advice or use the technology produced by the research. That argument sounds like a facade to hide the Bush administration's utterly embarassing record on improving the environment.
