Pete Ashdown’s Campaign Journal » Cuban, Hatch, and Copyright
A few interesting tidbits from Pete's campaign blog. Despite the fact that Cuban said he would donate to the Ashdown campaign...he hasn't. I also think that Pete nails many of the problems w/ the DMCA right on the head. Maybe it was a bit too technical, but he neglected to mention another recent example of where the DMCA is too draconian. The folks that uncovered the Sony rootkit were required to break the DMCA to do the investigative work on the rootkit software. I love a law that must be broken simply to protect our computers. Oh, don't bother reading the articles in the Star Telegram. Cuban says the obvious and Delrahim is just an attorney missing the point and using extreme examples.
