U.S. Resists New Targets for Curbing Emissions

Well, here is a big shocker. The Bush Administration isn't even willing to discuss improving the environment. I have always thought that the Bush Administration's environmental policy was to basically remove any restrictions that stood in the way of big business destroying the environment. Being so arrogant as to not even talk about improvements is a new high...err...low for them.

Speaking of horrible environmental policy promoted by the Bush administration...I was reading Backpacker magazine while walking home a couple of days ago. I was appalled to find out that under the Bush Administration old growth forest in the Northwest is essentially being clearcut. How can this happen? I thought that we were upset at those money grubbing third world nations for destroying their old growth forests. Now it is happening in America? Depressing stuff.
